Terms & Conditions

1. I agree to be bound by the rules of the Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy. 

2. I agree to obey my instructors at all times and acknowledge that my membership can and may be terminated at any time if I breach any of the rules and regulations of NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy). 

3. In the event of an accident or injury, I give my full consent for instructors to perform necessary first aid and/or call emergency services for further assistance. 

4. I take full responsibility for any medical or emergency services incurred on my behalf as a result of an accident or injury, including contracting COVID-19. 

5. Note: NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy) recommends that you seek medical advice before beginning training and or any other exercise program and I acknowledge that I am fit to participate in activities held by NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy). 

6. NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy) reserves the right to refuse, decline and/or cancel your membership at any time without stating a reason. 

7. I understand that under the terms of this agreement, the academy obligates itself to furnish me with competent instructors and suitable facilities for teaching lessons. Qualified instructors personally trained in the procedures and traditions of the Martial Arts supervise all class sessions. 

8. I hereby represent that I am physically fit to receive and participate in the prescribed course of instruction. 

9. I will faithfully comply with all the rules and regulations of the school and the traditions of the Martial Arts and accept and understand that the practice of the Martial Arts involves the risk of serious injury, and perhaps even death and that these risks may also result in significant financial/economic loss. 

10. I understand that my tuition is arranged in instalments and is not affected by my lesson schedule or attendance. 

11. I understand that failure to attend training does not relieve me of my obligation to pay in full. 

12. I understand and agree that the academy will not be held liable for injuries, damages and etc caused by or resulting from the negligence of the owners, operators, employees, or persons in charge of such establishment.  

13. I agree to hereby indemnify NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy) and its officers, instructors, servants and each of them from and against any claims of damage, personal injury or illness, contacting COVID-19, sustained by myself or the student while participating in any fitness activities or functions arising from any Breach of Statutory duty. 

14. I declare that all of the information I have provided or will provide is true and correct.

Waiver & Release

1. I fully understand and acknowledge that: There are risks and dangers associated with participation in martial arts events and activities which could result in bodily injury partial and/or total disability, paralysis and death. The social, financial and economic losses and/or damages, which could result from these risks and dangers described above, could be severe. I understand that the practice of the Martial Arts involves the risk of serious injury and financial/economic loss and I participate on the understanding that I am doing so at my own risk. 

2. I agree to and hereby indemnify NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy) and its officers, instructors, servants and each of them from and against claims of damage, personal injury or illness (incliding COVID-19) sustained by myself or my child while participating in any fitness activities or functions connected with NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu Jitsu Academy) or travelling to and from such activities or functions arising from any breach of statutory duty. 

3. The applicant for him/herself, his/her executors, administrators, dependants, and other personal representatives, hereby absolves and indemnifies the providers and all their servants, agents, employees and other students or persons under the provider’s control (the “indemnified”) from all liability howsoever arising for injury or damage (including but not limited to the applicant’s person, whether fatal or otherwise, property and personal belonging) however caused including by the negligence of the indemnified, arising out of or participating in the Martial Arts or in any way caused by, or arising out of, any activities carried on by the indemnified. 

4. Photo, Video Audio Release: I agree that  NORTHERN BEACHES JIU JITSU ACADEMY Pty Ltd (Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy) reserves the right to take video and audio material of student classes and school events and that these materials may be used for display, promotion and or advertising, or sold for profit, and I hereby waive my rights to any compensation arising out of my appearance in such materials.
