Jiu-Jitsu for Grommets and Titans:
4 Week Winter Starter Offer
at the Northern Beaches Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Cromer
With two kids of our own, we know it can take a few goes to find a sport or activity they love. That’s why we’re offering an affordable 4 week starter program for teens. They’ll experience all the physical and mental benefits of Jiu-Jitsu, with the flexibility to continue if they enjoy it. No other martial arts academy on the Northern Beaches has this type of offer, so you can stop shopping around!
There are so many great reasons for kids to do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but our top 3 are:
Improve physical fitness: Jiu-Jitsu is often recommended by OTs and paediatricians to improve gross motor skills, coordination, movement patterns and body awareness. It also helps build core strength and cardio fitness, while complementing other sports including rugby, surfing and gymnastics.
Mental health benefits: Jiu-Jitsu encourages you to think strategically, and you never stop learning, even as a black belt! You also face challenging situations and step outside your comfort zone, helping to build resilience, confidence and assertiveness.
Learn self-defence + anti-bullying skills: Size and strength do not matter in Jiu-Jitsu, as techniques are based on neutralising and immobilising your opponent. You’ll learn simple, effective self-defence skills that can be applied in the school playground - without using force or striking like other martial arts.
Offer is limited to 10 grommets and titans only. Don’t miss out!
At NBJJA we have fun, we are open-minded and we look after our physical and mental health.

What NBJJA Parents are saying:
“Love what you do! Thank you. All the leaders are so friendly and approachable and I love the family atmosphere.”
“Jack has a way of communicating with the kids that I envy! The tone on which Jack and the team deliver the class is spot on for my son.”
“The NBJJA community is amazing! We have loved being apart of it and can’t wait for our kids to keep progressing in classes and learning so much more. Thanks so much Jack and Gill.”
“When I initially spoke with Jack re attending a trial lesson, he was very easy going, explained the benefits and once we had the first class, we were sold!”
“Many martial arts places feel like a business. In NBJJA I have found a community, somewhere I can trust the coaches to train my child with integrity, discipline and respect. That comes from the personal nature of the way NBJJA is run, and that you’re heavily involved in the training - not passing it off to others.”
“I wanted to find somewhere that my kids could grow and feel trust and security and mentoring. Your consistency of coaches and small class sizes is great for this.”
